RLF is being built with the expectation that good farms rely on expertise, services, and relationships beyond the farm gate.
We welcome appropriate connections with farmers, processors, veterinarians, livestock breeders, hay and feed suppliers, fencing and water specialists, custom operators, agricultural schools and colleges, conservation professionals, researchers, agricultural organizations, veteran and beginning-farmer programs, and local food partners.
Current partnership priorities
During pre-launch development, particularly useful relationships include farmland and tenure opportunities; livestock processors; local breeding-stock sources; forage and hay resources; veterinary support; NRCS and conservation planning; fencing and water expertise; organic-certification guidance; agricultural financing and technical assistance; and education/workforce pipelines.
Education and workforce development
RLF is also exploring future relationships with agricultural high schools, colleges, internships, work-based learning, and other training programs. Any student or internship role would require appropriate supervision, safety controls, defined learning objectives, labor-law compliance, and role-specific SOPs before launch.
Processors and service providers
Reliable processing access is a growth gate for meat enterprises. RLF is interested in building relationships early with appropriately licensed processors and other service providers whose capacity, species coverage, scheduling, transport distance, and business practices fit the planned farm.
